Chinese New Year 2021
According to our calendar, the Chinese New Year, or the Lunar New Year, begins later than the calenders normally referred. The Gregorian calendar is one of the solar calendars and is not tied to the lunar phase; each year has a fixed length, except for the leap year. In contrast, the beginning of the Chinese New Year is variable and fluctuates between January 21 and February 20.
The Lunar New Year is determined astronomically, occurring with the second new moon after the winter solstice and based on the observation of lunar cycles. The lunar calendar is quite similar to our solar one; it also has 12 months, but only 354 days. The difference of 11 days causes the Chinese New Year to move 11 days forward. Therefore, there are no "winter months" or "summer months" in this calendar; each month can be in any season.
In 2021, the beginning of the year falls on February 12, and it will be the year of the metal Buffalo. This year will be more challenging in terms of career, it will be more demanding, but you will not miss the reward after hard work. According to the Chinese horoscope, the year 2021 is ideal for overall improvement. It will be a year of diligence. All the problems brought about by the previous year of change should be addressed.
