Strong and weak positions of planets

As you surely already know, in the horoscope, each planet of the solar system is associated with (and therefore rules) a specific Zodiac sign. The sphere is divided in the way, so that the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer. Further off, each of the “traditional” planets (planets that were discovered earlier - inner planets of the solar system + Jupiter and Saturn) rules two Zodiac signs, like this: Mercury rules Virgo and Gemini, Venus rules Taurus and Libra, Mars rules Aries and Scorpio, Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces and finally, Uranus rules Capricorn and Aquarius. “New” planets, that were discovered later, were assigned to the Zodiac signs like this: Uranus is exalted in Aquarius, Neptune is exalted in Pisces and Pluto is exalted in Scorpio.

Strong and weak positions of planets

Therefore, if the planets move into their signs, it means their influence is greater. And conversely, the influence of a planet will be subdued (weakened) if it’s moving into the opposite sign. Therefore, the Sun will be weakened in Aquarius, the Moon when in Capricorn. But in case of these two basic objects, the movements in the opposite sign are not manifesting very significantly considering the fact that they are very dominant themselves. Therefore, Mercury is weakened in Pisces and Sagittarius, Venus in Scorpio and Aries, Mars in Taurus and Libra, Jupiter in Virgo and Gemini, Saturn in Cancer and Leo.

So, it’s necessary to pay increased attention to these strong and weak planet positions to get an accurate interpretation of the horoscope.
